ACCESS BY RAIL Shrewsbury is served by the new Virgin trains from London Euston (by changing at Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton), as well as by a direct service from London Marylebone. There are also regular services from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Oxford, Cardiff and Bristol. Shrewsbury station is just the far side of the centre of the town from the school, and is approximately 20 minutes walk away - but the route is not easy to find for a novice, so a taxi is usually a better bet. There are usually a good number of taxis on the station taxi rank. |
