Instrumentalists will be inspired by friendly, detailed and constructive coaching on classical, contemporary and baroque repertoire from dedicated teachers who this year will again include Elizabeth Altman, piano; Ofer Falk, violin the leader of the Allegri Quartet; Pal Banda, cello ; Charlotte Wilson, harpsichord; principle wind players from the Halle Orchestra; Edwina Smith, modern and baroque flute, Sue Marshall baroque violin; and other baroque specialists. The enthusiasm of participants both individuals freelancing and those in pre-formed groups ensures that all enjoy the opportunities to forge both musical and social relationships. These commonly persist beyond the Course as a result of the pleasure and good social 'feel' of sharing with like-minded folk our interesting and stimulating environment. Repertoire discussed and arranged in advance includes 18th,19th,and 20th century classics, charming varied baroque music and also the larger scale classic ensemble masterpieces. Each participant coming as an individual will be assigned in advance a place in a group with partners of similar accomplishment and repertoire is pre-arranged by discussion and negotiation! Pre-formed groups of course bring any repertoire they wish to explore.
