International Chamber Music Summer School 2012

Summer School of Chamber Music - Application Information

We are recognised as one of the best value Chamber Music courses for the following instruments: piano, harpsichord, strings violin, viola, cello, wind clarinet, oboe, cor anglais, flute, and brass instruments French horn, trumpet, trombone.

Presence: 5 days; but you may need to opt for a reduced number of days of coaching (Friday to Tuesday) according to your availability.

Residential facilities

Thursday night to Monday night.  Registration is from 11am on the Thursday, when you can be shown to your accommodation and enjoy the 
use of the facilities to practice and prepare for the first session at  2.30pm. If you wish to arrive on Wednesday 11th and/or stay on after the end  of the Course for the night of the 17th July we will arrange that with the school, which makes a charge for the additional occupancy.

Fee Structure

5 Days full coaching & accomodation £137 per person per night

3/4 Days occupation is £142 per person per night

1/2 Days occupation is £147 per person per night

All pricing is based on a single room all inclusive. Twin rooms are available if required at the same cost. Prices are based on days starting at 2.30 one day, until after lunch the next. Any Additional part days are charged at a flat rate of £95

Taster Days

A one day taster day from 9.00am to close of evening activities is £136 inclusive of meals.

Residential facilities

These fees include bed and breakfast accommodation, Thursday night - Monday night inclusive all meals, tea/coffee served at breaks, coaching, welcome drinks and after-dinner entertainment on the Sunday evening. If you need accommodation before or after the Course, depending upon your journey, we will try to arrange this with the School. The cost will be in the region of £20 per person B&B

Non Residential facilities

If you live nearby and would like to attend on a daily basis, the daily price would be reduced by £18. Please mention that you will not need accommodation on the application form against the 'no accommodation' line for the days you are coming.

Financial Terms

A Deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. With the final balance settled on or before 15th June 2012

PLEASE ENSURE YOU SEND YOUR DEPOSIT WITH YOUR APPLICATION FORM, OTHERWISE YOUR APPLICATION IS PROVISIONAL AND NOT CONSIDERED AS REGISTRATION UNTIL THE DEPOSIT IS RECEIVED

If you are unable to attend a booked course, the following cancellation fees (including accommodation) will be retained/payable:

Prior to 31st May £10 per day

1st June to 1st July £50 per day

After 1st July:£100 per day

English Camerata will make all efforts to replace the cancelling instrumentalist. Cancellation fee reduced to £10 per day if substitute found.
